舞踏の創始者・土方巽は2028年に生誕100年を迎えます。
この節目に行われる本事業は、土方巽と舞踏をクローズアップするための記念企画であると同時に、その存在を複数の視点から問い直し、共有することが目的です。
土方や舞踏の世界に関わってきた人々、そして新たに関心を寄せる人々と共に、さまざまな表現の場を展開していく。
そして、土方から始まった舞踏が、未来へと続く身体表現への礎となるメモリアルイヤーを目指します。
The year 2028 marks the centenary of the birth of Tatsumi Hijikata, the founder of Butoh.
This commemorative project aims not only to spotlight Hijikata and the art of Butoh but also to re-examine his significance from diverse perspectives and share that understanding.
We intend to create various platforms for artistic expression together with those who have long been involved in the worlds of Hijikata and Butoh, as well as those newly discovering an interest in them.
Ultimately, we aim to make this anniversary year a springboard for the future of physical expression-building upon the foundation of Butoh that originated with Hijikata.
